Lucas Giolito will be the starting pitcher for Chicago on Saturday as he finished last season by going 11-9 with a horrendous 4.90 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP. This lineup struggled last season as they were 18th in the majors with a team .697 OPS. They are looking to bounce back and be a dominant lineup this season. They added fielder Andrew Benintendi to get going and get on base to begin some rallies and should see some improvement out of guys like Luis Robert Jr and Eloy Jimenez as the season progresses.
Jose Urquidy will be handing the ball today for the Houston Astros. He finished the 2022 season, his first full regular season with a big club, with a 13-8 record with a 3.94 ERA in 164.1 innings. This Astros lineup was one of the best throughout the season. They finished seventh in MLB with a .743 OPS. They added first baseman Jose Abreu to the lineup to increase power with Yordan Alvarez, but with the injury to Jose Altuve, they will need to be able to keep their heads above water until he returns.

Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros Betting Prediction
This is the first day game after a night game, and these teams have solid pitching staffs that can limit the amount of damage. 17 hits feel like too much as both Giolito and Urquidy have some nasty stuff to keep hitters off-balance. This total is essentially saying there will be a hit in every half-inning of the game and that feels a little too much. Take the under as it has a better chance of hitting in this game.
