The Seattle Kraken head to Colorado to take on the Avalanche. Both teams sit in the third slot of their respective division but are well within striking distance of second. Given the number of changes the trade deadline has brought, it will be interesting to see how the last month of play shakes things up.
While there were countless trades over the last week, the Kraken made zero moves, and Colorado made two, with one of them being meaningless. The one trade of note was the Avalanche acquiring Lars Eller from Washington for a second-round draft pick. While Ellers is not a game-changer, he will help round out Colorado’s third line.

Kraken vs. Avalanche Best Picks
One of the most impressive aspects of the Seattle team is the team play. While most teams have heavy stat leader, five players are within 11 points of each other for the lead on Seattle’s roster. There is no telling who will score on a given night, but everyone has opportunities and only takes shots when advised. While there is no individual prop that is worth taking, the team total is the way to go here.
Seattle: Over 2.5 Goals (-112)
Kraken vs. Avalanche Prediction
Seattle has won three games in a row, and now they take on a Colorado squad that suffered a 3-7 loss in Dallas yesterday. It was an absolutely terrible showing by Colorado, and Nathan Mackinnon will no doubt be exchanging words with the defense. The problem for bettors’ lines is the fact that the Avalanche has yet to demonstrate any consistency in their play this season. They could take another big “L” in this one, or they could just as easily deal a 5-0 “L” to the Kraken.
Even though they are playing at home, the Avalanche do not deserve to be the favorite in this one. Of course, anything can happen, but seeing a plus-money payout offered for a hot Seattle team, it’s a pretty obvious pick here.
