The 2023 NFL regular season is now entering Week 5, with the MVP race beginning to take shape. The MVP leaderboard is currently being dominated, as usual, by quarterbacks, with many of them being young AFC quarterbacks. Here’s a look at the players with the best odds to win the 2023 NFL MVP award.
NFL MVP Betting Odds
NFL MVP Candidate #1: Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (+350)
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been among the NFL MVP candidates for several seasons, however, he has not broken through and won the award. That could change if he maintains his current level of play. In four games, Allen has thrown for 1048 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions. He has completed a league-leading 74.8% of his passes while adding 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.
NFL MVP Candidate #2: Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (+500)
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa looked like he would contend for the MVP award last season before injuries derailed his year. Tagovailoa has picked up where he left off, as he has been great in the early season. He has a league-leading 1306 passing yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions through four games. Tagovailoa has completed 71.3% of his passes while adding 15 rushing yards on 11 carries.
NFL MVP Candidate #3: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (+500)
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has won the NFL MVP award twice in his career, including last season. He is once again among the favorites to win the award. Through four games, Mahomes has thrown for 1006 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. The three-time All-Pro has completed 64.3% of his passes while adding 154 rushing yards on 23 carries through four games this season.
