The San Antonio Spurs (19-54) are 14th in the Western Conference and on a two-game losing streak as they look to avoid another when they face the Washington Wizards (32-41) at the Capital One Arena on Friday.
The Spurs are now only 3-7 in their last 10 games and their last defeat came against the Milwaukee Bucks (130-94). It was a huge loss where only Devin Vassell managed to score 16 points, the highest in the team. On the other hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo continued his brilliant form for the Bucks, finishing the game with 31 points, followed by Chris Middleton, and Boody Portis, both scoring 19 points.
The Spurs will now take on the Wizards, who are 12th in the East and are on a four-game losing streak.
They are slowly slipping away in the playoff race due to consecutive losses. Their latest defeat came against the Denver Nuggets (118-104) where Nikola Jokic performed exceptionally for the Nuggets, scoring 31 points, along with 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Michael Porter Jr. continued his fine form from the previous game and chipped in 21 points in the win. Kristaps Porzingis was the only one who responded from the Wizards team, scoring 25 points in the loss.

San Antonio Spurs vs Washington Wizards: Betting Prediction
The Wizards have a 1-0 lead over the Spurs this season and would like to end the two-game series with a win at home. While the Spurs are already out of the playoff spot the Wizards can still aim for the play-in spot. All they have to do is win as many remaining games as possible and then hope for the best.
Both offensively and defensively, the Wizards are the better team. The fact that they are playing at home definitely gives them an advantage as the Spurs are 6-29 on the road. Since both teams concede a lot of points compared to other teams in the league, expect this game to go over the total mark.
