For the fourth and final time, the San Antonio Spurs (19-52, 30-41-0 ATS) and New Orleans Pelicans (34-37, 32-39-0 ATS) will lock horns. The Pelicans won the first three games.
San Antonio has experienced a lot of losses this season. The Spurs have the third-most in the NBA and are one of the few teams officially eliminated from the postseason already. However, their most recent game on Sunday saw the Spurs come back from a 24-point deficit to stun the Atlanta Hawks.
New Orleans also got back in the win column their last time out, taking down the Rockets in Houston. A season that began with a ton of promise has been derailed by injuries for the Pelicans, who now sit 12th in the Western Conference. The good news is that they’re only one game behind 10th for the last play-in spot. The bad news is that 11 games are remaining and its a mosh pit in the standings.
The Spurs could be figuring it out and building towards next year, while the Pelicans need every win they can get if they want a ring this season. Spurs vs. Pelicans should be an intriguing matchup tonight.

Spurs vs. Pelicans Prediction
Either the Spurs have the worst luck ever, or some of their injuries, which have taken out three of Sunday’s five starters, are a symptom of tanking. All of these guys are in the NBA and tremendous hoopers, but the Spurs are missing almost all of their quality players tonight. I can’t see this team keeping up with the Pelicans on most nights, especially not on the road.
New Orleans has already taken three from the Spurs, and I think they make it four in convincing fashion tonight. They need this game.
