The Philadelphia 76ers (52-28) have clinched third seed in the Eastern Conference and now take on the Atlanta Hawks (41-39) at the State Farm Center on Friday evening.
The 76ers have had a fantastic regular season but suffered a 129-101 defeat last night against the Miami Heat. A strong Miami defense only restricted the Sixers to 101 points on the night. Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro guided the Heat to victory with 24 points each. The 76ers will now face the Hawks, who are 8th in the East and have qualified for the play-in spot.
The Hawks are enjoying a three-game winning run and won 134-116 against the Washington Wizards. Trae Young paved the way for the victory with a 25-point performance, while John Collins added another 23. Dejounte Murray played 30 minutes in total and scored 19 in the win. Philadelphia vs. Atlanta: Betting Prediction
The 76ers have a 2-1 lead over the Hawks this season. However, the Hawks are at home and would look to tie the series, as their home record is a decent 24-16 this season. Philadelphia has many main players either injured or given rest, which offers a solid chance for Atlanta to bounce back tonight. Offensively, the Hawks are third in the league, averaging 118.3 ppg, whereas the 76ers are 14th, averaging 114.7 ppg. Defensively, the 76ers are much stronger, conceding only 110.7 ppg, while the Hawks are 24th overall, conceding 117.9 ppg.
But since the 76ers will be missing several players tonight, expect the game to have a lot of points and cross the total mark.
