Tonight, the Pacers visit the Celtics for an Eastern Conference battle. Indiana is right on the cusp of the play-in, at 33-40, one and a half games behind the Bulls for the #10 seed in the East. Boston has been out of the top spot in the East for a little while now, and they’re hanging onto the #2 seed at 50-23. Right now, the season series is tied at one, with the Celtics most recently winning an OT thriller in Indiana 142-138 back in February. Below, we’ll highlight the best player props for this matchup across both teams.
Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics Match Details
Fixture: Indiana Pacers @ Boston Celtics
Date & Time: Friday, March 24, 7:00 p.m. EDT
Venue: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
NBA Player Prop #1: Marcus Smart Over 19.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-125)
Celtics guard and reigning defensive player of the year Marcus Smart has been steady on offense the last two games. He racked up 26 combined points, rebounds, and assists last game and 21 the game before. Now, he’ll face the Pacers, a team that gives up a lot of points, rebounds, and assists to guards. Also, Smart has averaged 21.3 combined points, rebounds, and assists over his last seven versus Indiana, and he should be involved heavily tonight at home.
NBA Player Prop #2: Buddy Hield Under 21.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-111)
Buddy Hield has had a solid year for Indiana, but tonight he’ll take on a tough defensive team in the Celtics. Last game, we saw 280 total points between these two, so naturally many players played above their averages, but I doubt we’ll see that high-scoring of a game tonight. Hield has struggled against Boston in recent history, and Celtics defenders should do a good job on Hield again here.
NBA Player Prop #3: Buddy Hield Under 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+120)
Hield is known for his three-point shooting, but the Celtics allow the second-fewest made threes to shooting guards in the league. Also, Hield, since joining Indiana, has only made more than two threes on one occasion, out of four tries. Last game he needed 37 minutes and ten threes to pull this off, so I don’t see him having this many attempts from deep or minutes in this one.
