This isn’t Termina, so there isn’t an active countdown, but fewer than 72 hours remain in the regular NBA season. Betting time is running out.
With several teams resigned to their postseason fate, good or bad, there are some funky lines out there. Here’s a look at the NBA best bets available tonight, accounting for all of the players not suiting up.
NBA Best Bet #1: Mavericks @ Bulls Under 220.5 (-110)
Without listing everyone, it’s important to know that both teams will be shorthanded tonight. Considering both sides play at a below-average pace, this game shouldn’t feature a lot of scoring.
Luka Doncic may suit up, and he’ll be the only top offensive option available for either side if he does. Otherwise, possessions should be down, and so should shooting percentages. Chicago is one of the top defensive units in the NBA, ranking fifth in defensive rating, and they should set the tone for a slugfest tonight.
NBA Best Bet #2: Sacramento Kings +9.5 (-110)
The Kings are essentially locked into the third seed in the Western Conference and appropriately have a ton of their players on the injury report. Facing a Warriors team that’s fighting for an automatic playoff spot doesn’t bode well for their chances of competing tonight.
Yet, if you’ve watched Golden State on the road this season, you would know they’re miserable away from Chase Center. Their road record straight up is 9-30, and against the spread, they’re 9-28-1 on the road. It doesn’t matter who they face, the Warriors aren’t the same team.
Calling a Sacramento upset would be bold, but the Kings keeping this game within single-digits, win or lose, isn’t farfetched, considering the road Warriors are in town.
NBA Best Bet #3: Pistons @ Pacers Over 233.0 (-110)
Three of the last four meetings between these teams have finished over the total, and based on how both teams have been playing lately, this one should too. Detroit’s last four contests have been wins for the over, while Indiana has allowed 127.9 points per game over their previous ten.
Both teams are young and play at an above-average pace. Both defenses have also been awful lately. Expect a lot of points tonight in Indiana.
