The Indiana Pacers (32-39) suffered a 141-121 loss at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers in their last outing and now prepare to take on the Charlotte Hornets (22-50) on Monday night.
The 76ers completely dominated the Pacers as they lost their 17th home game. Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard and Myles Turner put up 25, 22 and 20 points, but it wasn’t enough. Joel Embiid displayed a masterclass that night and finished the game with 31 points, including seven rebounds and seven assists for the 76ers. Tyrese Maxey stepped in place of James Harden and scored 31 points in the win. The Pacers will now be up against the Hornets, who are 14th in the Eastern Conference and have zero chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
The Hornets are on a four-game losing streak. Their latest loss was a 121-82 drubbing against the 76ers. It was an embarrassing performance where not a single player from the Hornets could put up respectable numbers. Joel Embiid once again was the star of the show, producing 38 points on the night.
