The Indiana Pacers (33-41) had to suffer a heavy defeat against the Boston Celtics (120-95) last night as they prepare to take on the Atlanta Hawks (36-37) at the State Farm Center on Saturday, March 25.
Tyrese Haliburton returned to the court after missing a few games due to injury but it all went down the drain. He finished the game with 20 points for the Pacers. Myles Turner also contributed 20 points in the loss. Jayson Tatum was on fire for the Celtics, ending up with 34 points, while Jaylen Brown contributed 27 points in the win. The Pacers will face the Hawks now, who are eighth in the East, 4-6 in their last 10 games, and faced a defeat in their last outing against the Minnesota Timberwolves (125-124).
It was a close game up until the final buzzer. Trae Young showed up big on the night with 29 points for the Hawks. But no other player in the team was able to come up with a big number. Naz Reid led the scoring charts for the Timberwolves, coming off the bench and scoring 26 points. Jaden McDaniels and Karl Anthony Towns ended up with 25 and 22 points, respectively.
