The Charlotte Hornets head to Detroit to take on the Pistons for an incredibly meaningless game. The Pistons are chasing the number one draft pick, and their efforts — or lack thereof — are certainly paying off, as they have now lost nine games in a row and are half a game up on the Rockets for the bottom slot.
As for the Hornets, they are in purgatory as they have almost no chance of landing a top draft pick and certainly will not make the playoffs. This season has been highly disappointing as there were high expectations for LaMelo Ball’s sophomore season.

Hornets vs. Pistons Prediction
As previously mentioned, the Pistons have lost nine games in a row, but of those nine games, they have won five at the spread. So while they are picking up the L where it matters, bettors aren’t sure what to make of them.
Charlotte has been streaky as well. The Hornets won five games in a row, both SU and ATS, then followed that up with four losses, both SU and ATS, and they destroyed New York on Tuesday to hopefully start a new streak.
Ultimately, the Hornets are the better team in this one, and considering all the injuries the Pistons are dealing with, they will be hard-pressed to pick up the win at home.
