The 2022-23 NBA season is coming to an end, and time is ticking on time to bet on some teams.
A number of teams are fighting for an automatic playoff spot over this final weekend. Here’s the best NBA parlay today, with the focus on three teams that can climb into one of the top six spots this weekend.
NBA Parlay Leg #1: Miami Heat -4.5
The Miami Heat are seventh in the Eastern Conference, and winning out (along with Brooklyn losing out) would see them skip the play-in tournament. They’re trying their best, winning three straight games, all by at least seven points, entering tonight’s contest. Miami may have all of their big names out tonight, but so do their opponent, the Washington Wizards.
This game will see the top three scorers on both teams sitting on the sidelines and will be a test of depth and coaching, which favors a Miami team that’s 2-1 against the Wizards. The Heat are one of the toughest defensive teams in the NBA. Washington has also punted on the season, as evidenced by four straight losses, all by at least seven points.
Expect the Heat to take this one and keep their playoff chances alive, pending Brooklyn’s outcome.
NBA Parlay Leg #2: New Orleans Pelicans Alternate Spread -9.5
New Orleans is eighth in the Western Conference, but the Pelicans have a path into the top six. They face the New York Knicks tonight, and they are playing without at least three of their starters, with the potential for a fourth to join them. The Knicks are locked into the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, so there’s not much incentive for them to trot out their key players.
The Pelicans have been a much better team at home, with a 26-14 record, and this is their final home game of the regular season. They haven’t had Zion Williamson for a while, but New Orleans has still won eight of ten entering tonight. Expect them to stay hot against a team not playing for much right now.
NBA Parlay Leg #3: Los Angeles Lakers Alternate Spread -14.5
The Lakers can sneak into one of the top six spots, and beating the Suns tonight is the first step in that plan. Although LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both questionable, that shouldn’t be an issue. The Suns have ruled out Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and T.J. Warren.
Phoenix is locked into the four-seed in the west and played last night. They aren’t risking any injuries in this one, nor do they need a win. This game means nothing to the Suns and a lot to the Lakers. Los Angeles shouldn’t leave any doubt tonight.
