Yesterday was a busy day, but the tension will be up a notch today. The same eight teams are suiting up, with a trip to the division series at stake. It should be a fun one. Use this MLB parlay to get in on today’s action.
MLB Parlay Leg #1: Blue Jays @ Twins Under 3.5 Runs First 5 Innings
Yesterday’s 3-1 win by the Twins wasn’t surprising, considering that these teams were both top-six in run prevention during the regular season. Today’s starting pitcher battle should be even better. Yet again, don’t expect a lot of early scoring.
Former Twin Jose Berrios is getting the start for Toronto. He held Minnesota scoreless across 5.2 innings, the only time he faced them. Sonny Gray gets the start for the Twins after leading the majors in FIP and HR/9. This game won’t feature much scoring early.
MLB Parlay Leg #2: Arizona Diamondbacks Money Line
Last night, Arizona erased a 3-0 deficit to take Game 1 of their series. With ace Zac Gallen taking on the Brewers tonight, this series should be coming to an end. He faced Milwaukee twice during the regular season, holding them to six hits and one run over 14.1 innings.
As for Arizona’s offense, they were the strength of the team and put that on display yesterday. They scored six against Milwaukee’s ace and now get a crack at Freddy Peralta. They shouldn’t need six today since Gallen is going to shut down the Brewers again.
MLB Parlay Leg #3: Philadelphia Phillies First Run Scored
Philadelphia’s playoff experience was on full display in last night’s 4-1 win. Today shouldn’t be any different as they look to advance. Facing Braxton Garrett, whom they’ve tagged for six runs over 10.0 innings this season, first blood should be Philly’s again.
Of course, as the home team, this hinges on Aaron Nola holding firm first. Against a Marlins offense that finished 26th in scoring, he will pitch a clean first. It’s supposed to be a Red October, and that’ll include another early lead.
