The UCLA Bruins will play host to the Stanford Cardinal on Thursday in a Pac-12 showdown. UCLA is ranked #4 in the nation, and they’re riding a four-game winning streak. Stanford is just 11-14 overall and 5-9 against Pac-12 schools. The Cardinal did upset Arizona previously, though, topping the Wildcats 88-79 at home. The Bruins are 21-4 (12-2 Pac-12), and they did defeat Stanford by 14 back in December. We’ll see if the hosts can sweep the regular season series tonight in front of their home crowd.

Stanford Cardinal vs. UCLA Bruins Key Stats
Stanford is coming off a huge upset where they shot 61.1% from the field and scored an impressive 88 points on a top-notch defense. The Cardinal are now shooting 47.5% over their last five games, and star forward Spencer Jones has been a big part of this recent surge in efficiency. Jones leads Stanford with 13.7 points, and he’s proven himself as one of the better two-way players in the Pac-12. Teammate Harrison Ingram (9.7 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 3.6 APG) has been solid too, and overall, Stanford has pretty decent depth. Despite being three games under .500, the Cardinal have won six of their past eight, and their defense has really stepped up. They have another tough opponent tonight, and while it’s difficult to record two massive upsets in a row, anything can happen.
The Bruins are extremely well-rounded, and offensively they score just over 110 points per 100 possessions. They’ve shot lights out at home at 48.2%, but we’ll see if Stanford’s defense is up to the test tonight. Star players Jaime Jaquez Jr. (16.3 PPG, 8.0 RPG), Jaylen Clark (13.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG), and Tyger Campbell (12.6 PPG, 4.9 APG) have been the main contributors this season, and all three should be able to make their mark on both sides of the ball, per usual.
Defensively, UCLA has been great, and their ability to force a lot of turnovers helps them jump out and maintain big leads. Expect the Bruins to intimidate a Stanford team that doesn’t have a ton of reliable scorers tonight as UCLA looks to improve to 14-0 at home this year.
Stanford Cardinal vs. UCLA Bruins Betting Prediction
Stanford looked great last week, but now they’ll face a red-hot UCLA team that is 13-0 and 8-5 ATS at home. I can see Stanford hanging with the hosts early on, but ultimately the Bruins should be able to notch their fifth straight cover here. UCLA has also covered each of their last four meetings against Stanford, so expect that dominance to continue.
Prediction: UCLA -13.5 (-110)
