Nevada vs. Arizona State Betting Odds
Nevada is 22-10 on the year and has to go through Arizona State to make it to the NCAA Tourney. The Wolfpack lost to San Jose 81-77 in the Mountain West Tournament. Jarod Lucas leads the team, averaging 17.3 points per game. Kenan Blackshear and Will Baker also average double-digit points per game. As a team, Nevada is averaging 72.6 points per game, shooting 44.1% from the field and 34.6% from behind the arc. The Wolfpack have no notable wins this year, winning the games they should have.
Arizona State is 22-12 and hopes to punch its ticket to the NCAA Tourney. The Sun Devils lost to Arizona in the Pac-12 Tournament 78-59. Desmond Cambridge leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game. Marcus Bagley and DJ Horne are also averaging double-digit points per game. ASU is averaging 70.3 points per game this year, shooting 41.3% from the field and 31.4% from the 3-point range. The Sun Devils were able to beat Arizona on a last-second shot. They also have wins over Michigan and Creighton this year.
Arizona State has played stiffer competition than Nevada has. The Pac-12 is stacked with teams like UCLA, Arizona, and USC, to name a few. The fact the Sun Devils have made it this far speaks volumes. They are the better team and are more battle-tested than Nevada.
This will be a good game, but I think the Sun Devils will move on to face TCU in the West Region when all the dust settles.
