FAU is a very good offensive team, and they have several creative guards that have really made an impact on this run. Leading scorers Johnell Davis (13.9 PPG) and Alijah Martin (13.1 PPG) have been huge, and big man Vladislav Goldin has been a force on the interior. FAU is also rock solid defensively, as they have held teams to just about 40% shooting on the year. It won’t be easy for them tonight, but they can use their size to their advantage, and they’ll also aim to limit turnovers, as they committed 22 last game.
SDSU is one of the better defensive teams in all of college basketball, and during the tournament, teams have shot around 35% combined against the Aztecs. They were able to hold Creighton, a really good scoring team to just 56 points and 40% shooting, and they can definitely have similar success against FAU. Offenisvely, SDSU hasn’t been great recently, but they’ve come up clutch and ground out several wins on this run. The key to this game will be their defense again, but pay attention to the battle on the glass.

SDSU have a really strong squad, but because their leading scorer Matt Bradley has been shut down since the opening round, it may be hard for them to consistently score on Saturday.
