The NL West has been one of the best divisional races as there are three teams within 2.5 games of one another. This should go down to the wire and will be interesting to keep tabs on. Let’s look at the teams and discuss which team should be bet on. All odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.
Los Angeles Dodgers (-250)
The Dodgers have an All-Star roster but decided to step down this year and let some players go during the offseason. They are currently leading the division with a 52-38 record, but things are not doing too well. The Dodgers are 9-10 in one-run games and 13-25 in day games thus far. They dominate against right-handed pitchers and should continue to do well.
San Francisco Giants (+500)
The San Francisco Giants are third in the division with a 50-41 record right now and are 2.5 games back of the NL West lead. They are 11-10 in one-run games and are 3-9 in games played on turf. The Giants have a solid top of the rotation with Logan Webb, Ross Stripling, Alex Cobb, and Alex Wood. They have some names in their lineup, but the Giants have to figure out some consistency throughout the second half of the season.
Arizona Diamondbacks (+500)
The Arizona Diamondbacks have been one of the best stories throughout the year, as the young team is second in the NL West with a 52-40 record. They bought out Madison Bumgarner early in the season and have one of the best rotations led by Zac Gallen. Their young studs like Corbin Carroll and Geraldo Perdomo will help lead the way.
They have a 17-11 record against the NL West opponents and have really stepped up throughout the year. They should continue doing well and trade for a player to boost the team.
